One key goal of the NG9-1-1 Interoperability Task Force is to establish open-source testing scripts based on the existing NG9-1-1 standards. Key profiles will be established and utilized in the scripts to ensure conformance where ambiguity may exist.

These scripts are free and open source so vendors may utilize them in their development and production of NG911 solutions. These scripts will also be used by the independent labs who will test solutions submitted to the lab and results will be handed to a certification body (still to be determined) which will certify or reject the results.
